For day two of hiking in the Rocky Mountain National Park we wanted to check out the popular Bear Lake Corridor Trails. These trails take you around Bear Lake and then up to Nymph Lake, Dream Lake and Emerald Lake. There is also a trail to Alberta Falls. Four lakes and waterfall in this area of the park, no wonder these are the most popular trails! The park gets almost 5 million visitors a year, half of which are in the summer months…

If hiking is not your thing you can also drive up to Hot Springs Mountain Tower. We like a challenge so we hiked it. The view from the Hot Springs Mountain Tower observation deck is beautiful!

Read MoreWe got on the bus headed to Bright Angel Lodge and while the bus was stopped at the Train Depot the driver told us that the Grand Canyon steam locomotive was pulling in. We jumped off the bus and watched The Train pull in. It was so cool to watch the train go by and the horn sounded awesome. Later as we hiked Rim Trail up to Trailview Overlook we looked back across the Grand Canyon towards the Train Depot and we could see the steam from the train over the treeline. That was really neat!
