Manistique Lakeshore Campground - A Hidden Gem
Stop five (7/13/2022 - 7/16/2022) in our Upper Peninsula adventure, was Manistique Lakeshore Campground in Manistique, MI. This campground is beautiful! It is located on the north shore of Lake Michigan's Manistique Bay.
The campground is located near the town of Manistique. This is a tiny town with a few restaurants, museums, art galleries, and historic sites. We rode our bikes to town and enjoyed a drink and some food. The highlight of this area is the campground. A hidden gem that offers a unique camping experience. With its stunning natural surroundings and tranquil atmosphere, this campground is a great place to unwind, disconnect and enjoy nature. All of the sites are spacious and offer plenty of privacy, with the trees providing a natural barrier between campsites.
Manistique Lakeshore Campground is located right next to the beach! You can swim, sunbathe, and enjoy various water sports. There are hiking and biking trails, so you can explore the surroundings. The Seney National Wildlife Refuge is nearby where you might be able to see bald eagles, beavers, and black bears. The Kitch-iti-kipi Spring is also a popular destination, with its crystal-clear waters and stunning natural beauty.
