Boat Tour of Pictured Rocks in Munising, MI

Our fourth stop in the UP was Munising. We stayed at the Munising Tourist Park Campground (7/9/2022 - 7/13/2022). We loved our spacious corner site (#30) and how close this campground was to the water. The sunsets from our campsite and from the edge of the campground overlooking the water were beautiful! The highlights of our stay in Munising included 1) a Boat tour of Pictured Rocks and 2) super fresh fish and chips at Cap'n Ron's Fish 'N' Chips.

Pictured Rocks Cruises

Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, on the south shore of Lake Superior, has miles of beautiful beaches, almost 100 miles of hiking trails, and fantastic sandstone cliffs. Instead of hiking Pictured Rocks, we decided to do something different and took a boat tour with Pictured Rocks Cruises. We decided on the sunset boat cruise, which was 2.5 hours and a lot of fun. Pictured Rocks Cruises offers four different boat cruises. Check out their website and see which one interests you.

Fish 'N' Chips

At Cap'n Ron's Fish 'N' Chips, we went with the Cap’n’s Basket to try both the Lake Superior trout and whitefish. We got three pieces of each, french fries and coleslaw. It was a lot of delicious, very fresh food. We highly recommend sharing the Cap’n’s Basket to try both fish.
