Cats Two Cents

Hi, My name is Tinkerbell and it’s my turn to shine! First off, I like long walks on the beach. Just kidding! I actually don’t get to go for walks on the beach haha. I saw the beach once and wanted to play in it. I was told no though, but I get that a lot.

I am independent and outgoing, like most cats. I like to meet new people and judge their petting style, but I shy away from the smaller, louder ones.

My favorite things are:

  • Boxes. ALL boxes. Big boxes, small boxes, box forts, box tunnels. I LOVE to rub my neck on them! I rub and rub and rub. Sometimes I rub so hard that I cut myself but I don’t care. It feels so good!

  • Chin scratches! I like to snuggle, but only if you keep scratching and petting me. If you stop then I am out, and off to get pets from someone else.

  • Being held and walked around the motorhome. There is such a good view from up there and its the perfect position for my humans to scratch my back.

  • Sitting in my office chair. I love that my humans finally upgraded my office chair from that old hard chair. This one is much more comfortable! Although my human seems to think it belongs to him but he is mistaken.

  • Napping in bed all by myself. Why sleep in the crowded bed and get kicked throughout the night? I wait for my humans to get up in the morning and then I take over. I can stretch out, no one rolls over on me and the bed is still warm.

My other favorite sleeping spots include:

The motorhome dash when it is sunny, but recently it has been so cold. Any idea when that sun is coming back? I love to curl up in my bed while the hot sun warms up my fur.

Lately, I prefer sleeping in my tent as long as it is not on the floor. I hate when my humans put my tent on the floor. Don’t they know how cold the floor is? Do they sleep on the floor? No, then why would I want to sleep on the floor? I prefer my tent on the couch or passenger chair but the bed works too.

When I am not sleeping, I am often day dreaming about running around outside or catching a lizard but my humans always say no ever since that time they let me out and I actually caught one right away. Every once in a while I get to go outside but I have to wear that stupid harness. I hate that thing! It is so restrictive. I just want to run free and chase something.

We can’t love everything and I am no exception. I hate aluminum foil. As soon as I see my human going for that middle drawer I am out of there! Same with trash bags. Do my humans have to make so much noise when they put a new bag in the trash can? Seriously?! Does it have to be that loud? I race to the bedroom as fast as I can and I can still hear them shaking out the bag. I also hate how we rarely get wet food but when we do I always make sure I am the most helpful sister and finish Nacho’s for him.

You might be wondering if I have any special talents? Oh yes I do!

Tinkerbell Adventures

I can wake up from a deep sleep when I hear a can being opened from across the room! Talk about amazing hearing.

I also have this signature move, its a half roll onto my back with big sweet eyes, that can always get me out of trouble. I highly recommend you give it a try if your human seems upset.

I am also really good at checking out those hard to reach areas for my humans. Whenever they leave a cabinet door open I figure it is because they need me to check it out and make sure everything is okay, so I do.

Well that’s all for now. I am off to take a nap. Oh, one last thing. Did you see our photo gallery? Check out our Cats Being Cats Photo Gallery.
