Full time RV living and life on the road
We are now into Year 4 of full-time RV living so here is a summary of some of the more recent changes we've made: Amazon Blink security system, high-powered USB ports in the driver/passenger area, a new kitchen sink and faucet, a 5G/4G LTE MIMO Panel antenna, 960AH LiFePo4 battery bank (in progress), premium sewer hoses, and an upgraded latch for our step drawer.
How to filter non-potable water in an RV? We went with a $79 AquaCera Cerametix replacement filter for our existing canister system in the wet bay.
We share our cheap, easy to deploy and remove, and effective solution for managing our RV slide out awnings in wind conditions.
We have been on the road for one year! So how was it? Here is our year one review including the good and the bad of traveling and living full time in our motorhome, and what we are looking forward to in year two.

Free overnight parking, boondocking, cheap RV campgrounds and our paid memberships help keep our RV park expenses down. Samsung Pay earns us cash back. Groupon and free brochures from Visitor Centers are good resources for cheap and free local activities. Here is how we save money living in an RV.

My Fiat 500e needs to be towed via a dolly. We had really hoped to flat/four wheel tow since everybody says this is so much more convenient, but this car being a front wheel drive automatic it will destroy the transmission if we try to do that. Are you looking to tow an electric car? Read how we towed our Fiat 500e.
September was all about saying goodbye to our house and moving into our motorhome as we transitioned to full time RV living. Downsizing all our stuff and leaving our home and a neighborhood that we loved so much wasn’t easy. We share four tips on how to prepare for full time RV living, price comparison of three long term RV parks in San Diego, and how we moved our cats.
After months of poring over RVT and RVtrader listings looking at Phaetons we kept seeing this one 2014 model year nearby in Yuma. We were not giving it serious consideration since it wasn’t perfectly equipped the way we wanted. Once I got to thinking about it though we shouldn’t let that be a showstopper if everything else was good and the price was right.
We haven't decided if we want to have a tow car or not, so we may just try the first few months on the road without one and then see how it goes. If we do get a tow car, we like the idea of dinghy towing, or flat towing, which is essentially where you pull a car behind your RV on its own four wheels. Here is the guide which tells you which vehicles are flat towable, how to prep, safety, etc.
One of the reasons our blog is so far behind is earlier this year, I started making jewelry, and I love it!
