2014 Tiffin Phaeton 36GH

Our motorhome is a 2014 Tiffin Phaeton 36GH. It is 36’ and some extra inches with four slide outs (front hydraulic, rear electric) and weighs 34,000 lbs. The Cummins ISL has 380hp and 1050lb/ft of torque running from a 100 gallon diesel fuel tank that also powers the generator. It can tow up to 10,000 lbs. This model has two 15,000 BTU combination air conditioners with heat pumps, along with front and rear furnaces. The kitchen area has a three burner propane stove, convection microwave oven, and full size residential fridge with ice maker and water dispenser. The floors are a combination of porcelain tile and carpet and the cabinets, walls, and doors are solid wood throughout that still look great after six years of life. Eight house batteries and large holding tanks mean we can boondock for around five days without much difficulty. There are options such as heated tile floor, washer/dryer, dishwasher, but we did not get those. We opted for this shorter model instead of a 40+ so that we could still get into some smaller state/national parks that have a 35’ limit.

The front passenger slide is the same length as the front driver slide but is a little bit deeper. In the rear, the driver/bed slide comes out almost even with the front driver slide. The rear passenger/vanity slide only comes out about a foot but that one is critical since it creates more walking room around the foot of the bed and makes the bathroom sink area much more livable. When the slides are all out, it is incredibly spacious. However, during travel mode it is a bit cramped for sure.
