Washington
Looking for places to visit in Washington? Wondering what to do in Washington? We share our favorites as we travel the country.
Start with one of these.
I had no idea it would be so difficult to find an RV park near Seattle with availability just for the weekend. After tons of searching and almost giving up, we found this gem, Clearwater Casino RV Park. There was a free casino shuttle that took us to and from the ferry terminal at Bainbridge Island, and it was only a 35-minute ferry ride to Seattle.
After leaving Spokane, we took the advice of a couple we met in Grand Teton and drove the North Cascades Highway (SR20) to Seattle. It’s a scenic byway that cuts through the Cascade Mountain Range and has some beautiful views. We had no issues driving this route in our 37’ class A motorhome towing our Jeep. We share our route, weather, camping, how to check if the highway is open or closed, and the opening/closure dates for the last six years.
Our hosts recommended we check out Green Bluff in northern Spokane which was only 10 minutes from us. We had a great time. If you are in Spokane you should definitely check out these farms, growers, winery, etc.
