SpaceX Starship Launch South Padre Island, TX Photo Blog

We left the RV parked in San Antonio and drove down to Starbase for this one. SpaceX had Flight Test #2 of Starship on the calendar, and there was no way we were missing it. We ended up tent camping the night before at Isla Blanca Park on South Padre Island, and it turned out to be one of those happy accidents of travel: our camping neighbors were a group of ex-SpaceX engineers from the early days, out there for the same launch. We spent the evening swapping stories before joining a launch-viewing meetup near Boca Chica the next morning to watch it lift off. Here are our favorite photos.
