San Diego to Colorado

Here we go again!!! Our route includes leaving San Diego in January and heading East through Arizona. Spending March in Durango, Colorado, and then driving through Colorado. Middle of April, heading north through Nebraska to South Dakota and then east through North Dakota.

Leg 1

Mission Bay RV Resort: 1775 E Mission Bay Dr, San Diego CA 92109

Site #13, view of the edge of the lake but the site was unlevel and we need to use a lot of boards to bring up the rear. The site was not level so we had to use planks to level the motorhome which is always fun. The sites are spread out with lots of room and it was fairly busy.

Boulevard KOA: 1331 Shasta Way, Boulevard, CA 91905, Awesome Harvest Host, lots of animals like ostriches, lambs, pigs, chickens, and a koi pond. Very friendly and laid-back atmosphere.

Imperial Valley Desert Museum, Harvest Hosts, very easy stay right off I-8 next to a gas station

Belly Acres RV Park, a good spot for visiting Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument, 2030 AZ-85 Ajo, AZ 85321

Old Ajo Highway BLM, 6401 W Old Ajo Hwy, Tucson, AZ 85735,

Gilbert Ray Campground, site #A-59 unlevel and we needed to use planks to bring up the rear, visit Saguaro National Park West, 25 mins to hike Sendero Esperanza Trail (5 miles, 1,000 ft gain), 8451 W McCain Loop Rd. Tucson, AZ 85735

The RV Park at Pima County Fairgrounds, No reservations, last-minute change due to freezing temperatures in Tucson and this worked out fine, 11300 S. Houghton Rd. Tucson, AZ 85747
