Jeri’s Gear - Women’s Rain Gear
Mountain Hardwear Men's Exponent Jacket
I love how this jacket keeps me dry, is a longer fit and great for layering.
Depending on how cold it is I can wear a pullover, vest and/or jacket underneath it.
Columbia Women's Storm Surge Waterproof Rain Pant
This pant keeps you dry but it doesn’t breathe.
That is actually a bonus when it is cold.
I also like that the fit allows me to comfortable wear a base layer underneath
Merrell Women's Moab 2 Mid Waterproof Hiking Boot
These hiking boots are amazing and so is Merrell’s customer service.
These boots provide the support I need during our hikes and keep my feet dry in the rain.
Penguin’s Gear - Men’s Rain Gear
Columbia Men's Diablo Creek Rain Shell
I’ve used this jacket several times in heavy rain for extended periods of time and not once has any water gotten through. Hood is nice if you forget an umbrella or don’t want to bring one. By itself, it’s a good wind breaker but doesn’t offer much additional warmth so layer underneath if it’s also cold.
I bought these on a whim because it was going to rain at a festival we were going to. They are supposedly only water resistant, but again never had problems with water getting in even in really good downpours. They also seem way more breathable than true waterproof pants so I don’t get hot in them. Style and fit is pretty good too although I have unusually short legs so most pants are long on me.
Helly Hansen Men's Garibaldi V3 Boots
I love these boots. Warm, waterproof, and they look great. They were $200 on the sticker, but heavily discounted when I got them at an outlet. Absolutely worth it! Top quality construction including use of full grain leather.
