White Sands in New Mexico was beautiful. It was like being at the beach minus the ocean. The dunes looked like waves, and families came for the day to BBQ and let the kids play in the sand. We share weather information, tips, and photos so you can see what White Sands is all about.
The Very Large Array is 27 dish antennas all working together as a single telescope to make detailed astronomical images by collecting and processing radio waves. This is definitely something worth seeing in person but if you cannot I recommend checking out the VLA Webcam and Virtual Tour.

The hiking in Albuquerque was AMAZING! There were many unique hiking trails. With each hike, I appreciated how I could see for miles, the fresh air, beautiful blue skies, those fluffy white clouds, and the amazing sunsets.
By morning a few inches of snow blanketed everything outside. We decided to let our cat, Tinkerbell, go outside to experience her first snow. Did she like it? Check out our video.
